Is Japan the Last one to fall?

When Toyota recalled 8 million cars outside of Japan as a result of unexpected acceleration, associated road accidents and other technical problems, it sent a shockwave to the drivers worldwide who wonder about their road safety. Car repair companies were also quick to offer service packages for drivers to check and rectify potential faults by "cashing in" the situation. Beyond this, I think it's frightening to hear that if a Global Japanese company is facing a Total Quality Control problem here, what's going to happen to the rest of the world? Decades ago, this sort of thing would not have happen. Looking around us, Japan might be the last one to fall with its younger generation who will cover up problems and save their "face" in today's competitive world. With the USA often associated with laxes despite corporate goverance in place and China as the world's cheapest factory but is not associated with quality. Who else can we look up to and place our trust?

May the Force be with U!

Am a Fan of Star Wars- Watch the force unleashed as inspired by Lego animation. What I like about this is there is always something new with Lego. I believe that we are only limited by our Creativity!

Scandal in the Air- and they come in chain

What do they have in common besides being rich & famous? They made the recent entertainment news headlines for having affairs (or rather been caught for doing it). As different version of the stories start to make its way to the public, and people questioning the moral standing, positive public image and the invasion of personal privacy etc, let's see what can save them at the end of the day;

Man No 1: Tiger Wood (USA) who went celebrating with an affair whenever he won a major championship title. Only his wife can save him , his career and his wallet from the huge divorce settlement.

Man No 2: Ethan Ruan (Taiwan) who was just caught checking into a hotel with a lady but claimed they did not do anything. Then not too long ago, there were speculation of a "brokeback" relationship between him and another guy who is his room mate. True or Not, we have been hearing Ethan saying that he loves his current girlfriend very much, so I think the only person who can save him is actually- Himself! He needs to make up his mind what he wants!

Man No 3: Jack Neo- 50 years old (Singapore) who just confessed to a 2-year affair with a 22 year old free lance model. hmmm... no comment here! moving on...
So, whether you are from USA, Taiwan or Singapore, having an affair is an international "No-No" and is like dying a slow death sentence for the Guys..

Making a good Impression

The newspaper reported on this previously. Food Republic is Singapore's most high class food court with its designer decor- and now for selling drinks on a Segway @ 313 Orchard. I think tourists will be impressed and it might just improve the sale for segway.

Man's Talk

Met my primary school friends for dinner cum gathering. It has been quite a feat to co-ordinate this outing since most of them are married and have young children. On top of that, we all need to apply for permit from our spouse. Finally, the five of us got together and had a fun friday night..

First stop: What's for dinner? We had Ba Kuk Teh, something which I won't normally order on my own..

They ordered this part of the Pig which I have not seen before but it has a smooth taste.. interesting and the soup is nice.

This stall is located at Geylang Lorong 11 and I heard it's very popular..

Second Stop: Drinking Session at the Stadium Walk @ Brewerkz. I ordered this beverage which looks like a fruit punch but it's actually fruit beer. We had some platter food here..

To be precise, the fruit beer is made from dragonfruit and honey. On my way to the toilet, I almost tear down a wooden panel which looks like a door... (well, at least to me..) haaa.. luckily no one saw that..

Pretty late by now and just when I thought we are going home, we ended up singing at the KTV at Leisure Park. Hhaaa...
Third stop: K Box. The song selection at this place is not up-to-date and pretty lousy!
At 03:00am, we left the place. Looking forward to another Man's night till then..
